Sara B Runs in Plymouth 10K Race for Life
For Sarah B., completing the Plymouth 10K Race for Life for the first time in her life was the final step in a journey to end chronic pain that began more than nine years ago for the previously active mother. When Sarah slipped walking down some steps she suffered a broken left ankle and dislocated the joint. Her ankle was plated and screwed to repair the fracture and she spent six weeks in a cast followed by several weeks of physical therapy. Unfortunately, Sarah developed “post traumatic arthritis,’ an extremely painful condition that ultimately led to an additional surgery to fuse her ankle. After three months in an air boot and on crutches, Sarah graduated to a walking stick, but still suffered intense pain and restricted movement. Eventually, she could barely get up out of a chair or out of bed in the morning due to excruciating back and hip pain. That’s when she discovered Foot Solutions. A certified pedorthist evaluated her feet and gait using Foot Solutions’ advanced assessment technology to determine how the condition was impacting her body alignment and the distribution of weight on her feet. Sarah’s solution came in the form of custom-crafted shoe inserts and athletic shoes. After only five days in her new shoes fitted with custom inserts, Sarah was amazed to find that her back and hip pain was completely gone. She stopped limping and was able to throw away the walking stick.
“I could hardly believe the massive improvement in my mobility,” notes Sarah. “Not only was I pain free, I was soon playing tennis again with my son, something I hadn’t been able to do for years.” Sarah is still running and has just added a half marathon to her list of triumphs!

Climbing The Matterhorn
Thanks to Foot Solutions, I completed an arduous trek that began at Mont Blanc and ended at the Matterhorn in the Italian Alps to celebrate my 60th birthday with friends and family. I hiked nearly 100 miles despite a medical condition that led to numbness and tingling in my feet.”
Keeping Your Feet Healthy
Your feet are the foundation for your entire body and bear all of your body weight. You walk on them. You run on them. You stand on them. If your feet are not aligned properly, the rest of your body will be out of alignment as well.
Ordinary Flip Flops And Pain
Wearing ordinary flip-flops, particularly for prolonged periods of time, can lead to a variety of foot conditions ranging from plantar fasciitis to Achilles tendonitis. Even worse, flip-flops can have potentially long term effects on your musculo skeletal system.
